Angelica Elizabeth Cruz is a New York based artist who studied sociology and fine art, with a concentration in photography. With both analog and digital photography being her main mediums, her work focuses on portraiture, fashion and still life. Through these subjects she explores ideas of femininity, sensuality, sentimentality, and the shape and form of the human body.

One of her latest works, Skn., is a self-portrait series that emphasizes the natural linear elements of bare skin. By magnifying what could be seen as “imperfections” of these unidentified body parts, she creates images that mimic natural geological formations— reminding us that we are of Earth.
